This site has been developed over a period of three years moving from a brochure based site showing products and services to a full blown e-business system. Indeed, due to the system The HPO have completely changed the way they work, moving a great deal of their work to online delivery.

The HPO wanted a system that was dynamic (updatable by themselves) that allowed them to offer all their products and services online whenever they wanted to. A content management system was developed to allow them to do this incorporating:

• a secure authentication system for systems administrators
  
• ability to add administrators and define areas they are allowed to access
  
• administration for registered users, clients and partners
  
• administration for products and services
  
• online assessment module allowing the development of assessment questions and responses.
  

Online Assessment Module

The online assessment module is a major addition to the site allowing organisations to register and setup an assessment for their organisation. Members of their organisation can then access that assessment online via a web browser and complete all the associated questions. Upon all members completing the assessment a detailed analysis of the responses given is undertaken by the system and a comprehensive report is automatically produced showing the results in figures and diagram formats. Currently, there is nothing in the market that provides the level of detail that this system does.

A version of the Assessment Module has also been developed to work on PDA's.

Multi-language capability

Recent development now allows assessments to be created in one or many languages allowing a global organisation to perform the same assessment in many languages at the same time. The comprehensive graphical assessment report is produced as normal but the main benefit of the upgrade is that all assessees can take part in the assessment in a language that they understand. This removes the possiblity that an assessee might mis-interpret any questions the assessment may ask of them.

New system for administration users

A recent change to The HPO's business model is to allow other organisations to set-up and manage their own assessments. The system has now been changed to allow administrative rights to be allocated to anyone wanting to create assessments for themselves.
