Utilising the expertise of local website consultancy Haechar Internet, Northampton based Arts student launches Scarlet Miss Charlotte - A Vintage Clothing and Accessories website with a difference!
Scarlet Miss Charlotte, www.scarletmisscharlotte.co.uk is a very classy and chic website which unlike the majority of vintage clothing websites already in existence aims to appeal to a much wider audience of teenagers up to 50+ and offers unique one-off, competitively priced items. The objective in the sourcing of clothing has been to make the customer feel rather special and stand out from the crowd, an objective echoed by the design, layout and content management of the website.
The design brief from Rebecca Jago, proprietor of Scarlet Miss Charlotte was to emulate some of the more up-market, high-end contemporary websites such as matches.com and net-a-porter whilst also reflecting the simplicity in layout of successful high street sites such as Top Shop. The brief was also to move away from the teenage feel of cheap and cheerful vintage sites that lacked professionalism. Haechar Internet have been able to translate this brief into a design where the look and feel of the Scarlet Miss Charlotte website differentiates itself from existing vintage clothing websites. Aside from this Haechar Internet have implemented a content management system that allows the company to add and display clothing and accessories as and when they are available and in a clear and professional manner. This means that the site can be constantly updated and is never static. Haechar Internet have also implemented a simple and easy-to-use payment system.
The formulae has worked well and overall Haechar Internet and Scarlet Miss Charlotte are delighted to have produced a finished website that not only competes with and exceeds some of the high end clothing sites but one that also offers the customer a very enjoyable shopping experience from browsing for that one-off piece of vintage clothing right through to the easy process of purchasing and securing it. |
